Public notice: Update on the valve and hydrant works – Emerald

Please note that there will be disruptions to the water supply in Emerald as a result of valve and hydrant works taking place in various locations throughout August and September.

The affected areas include businesses and residences along:

Hospital Road, Ruby Street, Capricorn Highway (from Dundas Street to Opal Street), Opal Street (from Capricorn Highway to Campbell Street), Hicks, Mccosker, Daniels, Glasson, and Batts Streets.

The contractor, Comlek, will be replacing a number of valves and hydrants that are due for replacement. The water supply in these areas may need to be shut down multiple times as only one asset can be replaced at a time.

Residents and business owners will receive advance notice of the specific dates and times of the works through social media and letters.
