It’s time to start thinking about who is doing amazing things in our local community!
The Community Citizen of the Year Awards gives us the opportunity to celebrate the positive impact of individuals and groups who are engaged and committed to our local area. Whether they are a nominee or recipient, we can all celebrate their outstanding contribution, because we’re all part of the story.
Recognising local heroes for more than 20 years, the Awards are made up of four categories:
Community Citizen of the Year (for individuals over 16 years) Young Community Citizen of the Year (for individuals aged 16-30 years) Senior Community Citizen of the Year (for individuals aged 65 years and over) Active Citizenship (for community groups or events)Nominations can be made for contributions to education, health, fundraising, voluntary services, business, sports, arts, the environment, social inclusion or any other area that enhances the wellbeing of our community. Nominations for the 2025 Community Citizen of the Year Awards are now open until 31 October 2024 and can be submitted at www.citizenshipawards.com.au/nominate
The Shire of Boddington Council will deliver the Community Citizen of the Year Awards, in partnership with Auspire, and Joint Patrons His Excellency the Honourable Chris Dawson AC APM Governor of Western Australia, and Mrs Darrilyn Dawson.
