Lithgow City Council oversees and supports events and initiatives to promote civic pride, build tourism, create opportunities for fun and position Lithgow as a a place to ‘be’ in the Central West.
The Council has reviewed our flagship events and looked at how we can create new ones.
Halloween is a favourite for many; it’s the party where you are the star attraction; from Disney to the Addam’s family, Rocky Horror to Star Wars, cosplay and steampunk, it’s all there; fun, free and family-friendly.
To ensure we can keep it that way, this year the Halloween event will be an afternoon party at Queen Elizabeth Park with music, local markets (details on how to be involved to follow) and the opportunity to dress up and join in the fun.
Rethinking Halloween has created opportunities for new events. We are often asked “What about Christmas?” The new format for Halloween means we will be able to answer the call.
We are excited to announce that Council will host a Christmas Carols by Candlelight and family focussed event at Lithgow Showground on Saturday December 7th.
More information will be shared as each event gets closer.
Council is committed to delivering quality events that both celebrate the people and places of Lithgow, and attract visitors to our area. We welcome fresh ideas and perspectives, so if you have an idea for future events, please feel free to contact Council at [email protected].
