The City of Rockingham is excited to announce the finalists of the 2024 Sports Star Awards.
Congratulations to these individuals, teams and clubs who have been recognised for their outstanding achievements and contributions to our local sporting community, both on and off the field.
“Sport is a popular and integral part of our community and our annual Sports Star Awards are our way of acknowledging those people and clubs who work so hard to achieve great things,” Mayor Deb Hamblin said.
"Whether it’s competing in your chosen sport, volunteering so that others can succeed, or providing excellent governance to keep our local clubs running season after season, it all contributes to the success of the City of Rockingham’s strong sporting identity. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and good luck to the finalists."
The winners will be announced at the 2024 Sport Star Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 18 September 2024 at Gary Holland Community Centre.
This is the 27th year of the Sports Star Awards. Past winners have included Muay Thai kickboxer Bryony Soden, BMX rider Declan McGhee, para-canoeist Ben Sainsbury and swimmer Holly Barratt, who have all gone on to represent Australia on the world stage.
