PUBLIC NOTICE
DRAFT LOCAL HERITAGE SURVEY
The Shire of Wickepin is reviewing the Municipal Heritage Inventory (MHI) and in replacement of this document will be the Local Heritage Survey (LHS) with the Listings of Heritage Places.
The MHI was prepared and adopted in 1996 and has now been revised into the Draft LHS in accordance with the legislation.
The Heritage Act 2018 requires all local government authorities in Western Australia to identify places of cultural heritage significance in a LHS.
The Draft LHS contains approximately 176 places (including sites) with 1 included on the State Register of Heritage Places: the former Nursing Post.
All residents and landowners are invited to review the Draft LHS to ensure your heritage is accurately documented, and if you consider any other places worthy of being in the Draft Local Heritage Strategy.
