Cairns children love their local library

More than 17,300 local families engaged with the Cairns Libraries’ First 5 Forever (F5F) Program to mark its 10th year in the region.

This F5F program directly supports families and caregivers to confidently serve as their child’s first and most important educator, while also enhancing access to essential resources via public libraries.

Cairns Libraries’ early literacy program delivered 803 events, engaging 42,670 people in the past 12 months.

Key achievements included delivering 758 onsite programs in eight libraries, engaging 17,370 families with free early literacy sessions and reaching 25,300 participants via 45 offsite community outreach programs.
