Central Highlands Regional Council have launched their search for a new permanent chief executive officer (CEO).
Council confirmed yesterday at the monthly general council meeting that recruitment agency Leading Roles has been appointed to lead the recruitment process, which can take up to 12 weeks.
Mayor Janice Moriarty and Deputy Mayor Rachael Cruwys are teaming up with their fellow councillors to attract an experienced CEO to live locally in the region.
Mayor Moriarty said the new CEO position is currently being advertised widely and Leading Roles have already received several quality applications.
‘I am confident that we will secure the right person to lead the organisation and, most importantly, someone that understands our community values,’ she said.
‘We are committed to finding a CEO who has the expertise, passion, and dedication to successfully deliver on our Council’s vision of improving the liveability of all our towns and communities across the region.’
Mayor Moriarty and Deputy Mayor Cruwys will be heavily involved in the recruitment and selection process and will advise the community when the successful candidate is appointed.
