Public notice: First half-yearly rates notices issued

Central Highlands Regional Council’s first half-yearly rates notices will be issued today.

The notice, which covers from July to December 2024, is due by 5.00 pm 4 October 2024.

This bill will include general rates, waste and sewerage charges, which all attract a 5% discount if paid by the due date.

Please note that while the overall total of your notice will be more than last year due to increases in waste and sewerage charges, the general rates charge will be the same as 2023-2024 for most residential, commercial and rural ratepayers (see the example notice below).

If you have not received your notice by 10 September, please contact council to ensure your postal address is correct.

Alternatively, ratepayers can now opt-in to receive both rates and water notices via email.
