Are you a dynamic and experienced professional ready to make a significant impact in a vibrant rural community? The Shire of Corrigin is seeking a Deputy Chief Executive Officer to join our dedicated team and work closely with the CEO to drive the Council’s strategic objectives.

About the Role:

As the Deputy CEO, you will:

Lead and Inspire: Manage the finance, customer service, and administration teams, motivating staff to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold high standards in financial management. Diverse Portfolio: Oversee a broad range of responsibilities including corporate services, financial management, community development, tourism, and library services. Strategic Contribution: Assist the CEO in achieving the Shire’s goals by preparing accurate financial reports, managing budgets, and guiding the team towards success.

Key Requirements:

Proven Leadership: Strong management experience with the ability to inspire and guide a dedicated team. Financial Expertise: Excellent skills in financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications and prior experience in local government are essential.

What We Offer:

Contract: Full time 3-5 year performance based contract. Salary Package: $167,000 to $196,000 negotiable based on experience. Benefits: Competitive base salary, up to 16.5% superannuation, motor vehicle, executive 4x2 bedroom house, professional development opportunities, uniform allowance, relocation expenses and a range of other benefits.
