Sorell Council invites seniors in our community to our annual celebration of seniors for 2024.

Seniors Week is an annual event that provides an opportunity for communities to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of older people to the community. Seniors Week is also a celebration of seniors’ active participation in community life and allows us to encourage older people to be active, participate in local events and socialise with their peers.

Bus Trip to Old Kempton Distillery Tuesday 15 October

Bus trip to Old Kempton Distillery for tour and Devonshire Tea

Bus departs the Sorell Memorial Hall at 9.30am and returns by 1.30pm

Trip includes a guided tour of the Distillery and Devonshire Tea

Tickets are $10 per person

There is also the option to enjoy a Tasting Flight with 3 choices @ $15 per person, the tasting flight is: Old Stables Whisky, Embezzler Gin and Apple Liqueur. This is at your own cost and payable to the Distillery on the day but must be booked in advance. Please let our staff know if you wish to include this in your booking. 

Limited spots available per trip. Purchasing your ticket secures your seat. Indication of Tasting Flight (y/n) to be provided in order to set up at venue.

Payments can be made over the phone on 6269 000 or in person at the Council Offices – 47 Cole Street, Sorell.

Sip ‘N’ Paint Friday 18 October

Sip n Paint at Dunalley Community Hall

Local Bream Creek artist, Nicola will be your guide.

Glass of bubbles on arrival and nibbles 

12noon to 3pm (Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of the event).  

Tickets are $20 per person

When booking, let us know if there are people who you wish to sit with (or if its been made under a different booking). This will help with the seating plan as names will be assigned at each easel so that things roll smoothly and everyone ends up sitting with their friends even if they’re the last person to arrive J

Transport to and from Dunalley must be arranged by participant.
