Council wishes to advise the community that there are multiple Telstra 3G and 4G outages across Huonville and surrounds.
A message from Telstra:
“Telstra is upgrading its mobile network at Huonville, with work to take place between 10th September and 15th September Mobile services may be impacted at various times during this period. Telstra mobile customers will receive a text message advising of the upcoming work. As this upgrade work needs to be carried out during daylight hours for health and safety reasons, our technicians will need to switch off the equipment which support mobile services in the area. This may result in some disruption to mobile services and every effort will be made to reduce the impact to our customers. We apologise for any inconvenience. These upgrade works can cause disruption to all devices using the Telstra Mobile Network, including but not limited to mobile handsets, Medical Alerts, EFTPOS machines, and any device with a Telstra Mobile SIM.
Upgrade work and testing, if all goes according to plan, will be completed by 15 September 2024. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we upgrade the network.”
