The Kambalda Community Recreation Facility transformed into a vibrant sports carnival on Monday afternoon as Coolgardie Primary School and Kambalda East Primary School squared off for an exhilarating Interschool Day!
From 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, the indoor courts at the Rec Centre were buzzing with excitement as students from both schools showcased their soccer skills in a friendly competition organized by the Shire Staff and led by none other than John Karavitis of Football West.
As the whistle blew, the indoor courts came alive with a whirlwind of activity. Kids sprinted, dribbled, and passed with infectious enthusiasm, their laughter and cheers echoing around the facility. The sunny September sky outside seemed to cheer them on, casting a warm glow over the lively scene.
John Karavitis, renowned for his dynamic coaching took the spotlight, guiding the young players with expert tips and encouraging cheers. His passion for soccer was evident as he demonstrated slick footwork and shared valuable tricks of the trade, inspiring the kids to play their hearts out.
The Shire Staff played their part in orchestrating this high-energy event, ensuring everything went off without a hitch. Their behind-the-scenes coordination ensured that every goal, save, and celebration was met with cheers and applause from the sidelines.
The games were a showcase of talent and teamwork, with both schools displaying impressive skills and sportsmanship. But the fun didn’t stop with just soccer. There were also plenty of smiles and high-fives, as new friendships were forged.
As the event drew to a close, it was clear that the real winners were the kids, who left with memories of a day filled with fun, laughter, and sportsmanship.
