The BMX, skate, and scoot competition, judged by International judge Renton Millar, will feature categories for Under 13 and Over 13 with the schedule as follows:
Scoot starting at 11am BMX at 12.30pm Skate at 1.30pmParticipants can compete for first, second, or third place medals. Spaces are limited, and registrations will be taken on the day.
The Deadly Deks Art Workshop will be held at 10am, where participants can paint a skateboard deck with a First Nations design under the guidance of renowned artist Tammy Lee Atkinson. All materials will be provided, and limited spots are available. Registrations can be made on the day or beforehand via [email protected].
Mayor, Cr Shane Sali said Greater Shepparton Youth Fest 2024 offers something for everyone, and will feature a variety of free and low-cost events.
“The festival will include art workshops, social activities, sports and mindfulness sessions, ensuring there is something for everyone. The festival aims to showcase the talents and creativity of young people in our community, while also providing a platform for them to express themselves and connect with their peers,” he said.
Both events are fully supervised and open to all ages. They are drug, vape, alcohol, and smoking-free.
