Primary school aged children are invited to join a range of free programs offered by Hepburn Libraries over the spring school holidays. There’s something for everyone, with sessions ranging from outdoor chalk painting, making your own ‘zine’, constructing a springing toy and Halloween mask.
“Once again our fabulous library team has lined up a terrific program of events these spring holidays, for primary school aged children,” said Bradley Thomas, CEO Hepburn Shire.
“We invite children to come and brighten up our library walls and steps with homemade chalk paint in a spring bloom of colours at Daylesford Library, the Creswick Hub and The Mechanics Trentham,” said Mr Thomas.
“Another creative activity is making a garden with foam stamps or publish your own ‘zine’ (‘magazine’) celebrating the return of spring and the warmer weather. We are running these workshops at Clunes Warehouse, the Creswick Hub and at Daylesford Library,” he said.
“Finally, we have a workshop where you can make your own spiral toy that springs at Daylesford Library and Creswick Hub.”
Council’s Youth and Family Team will also be hosting Halloween mask making sessions at Daylesford Library and Creswick Hub and a skate competition, with more fun planned for young people to celebrate Halloween at the end of October.

“All these activities are free, so I encourage families in our Shire to make the most of the varied and interesting program of events. Bookings are essential so please call or drop into our libraries or email [email protected],” said Mr Thomas.
