Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in the library’s online survey in July.
We conduct these surveys yearly, and even though this year’s participation rate was lower, it’s heart-warming to see how highly regarded the library remains in the hearts and minds of the community.
An impressive 96% of respondents consider the library an important part of the community in which they live, and 95% agreed that the library makes them feel safe and welcome. One respondent, whose sentiments mirrored many others, shared:
‘I love the Albany library! The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming and the staff are delightful. I have been to many informational sessions at the library as well as enjoying reading the novels provided by the library. I would be absolutely lost without my public library.'
The data collected in the Library Use and Outcomes Survey helps us to understand gaps in our service delivery, allowing us to refine and better respond to our community’s needs. This year, we received 365 responses, and our prize winner has been notified.
