School holiday program set to inspire

Published on 19 September 2024

A unique program to connect, learn, and thrive is available these school holidays for young people aged 12 – 15 who identify as female.

‘Girl Power: Intense’ is a two-day interactive program that aims to teach a range of skills including art, skincare, health and wellness and more.

Manager Economy and Prosperity, Katy McMahon said it’s a chance for those who may not have access to learning these skills elsewhere.

“No matter their situation, we want to give young people an opportunity to learn these life skills,” Ms McMahon said.

“From basic nutrition to more creative activities like art and makeup, we hope to see young girls come together from all backgrounds to connect and learn.

“We’re happy to be supporting this initiative under our Corangamite Youth banner.”

Hosted by The Corner Therapy Hub and 12 Apostles Retreat, the program will also include two hours each day of hair and makeup skills with Kelly Reynolds Hair and Emmeline Beauty.

The program runs 10 am – 2.45 pm over two days, Thursday 3 October and Friday 4 October at The Corner Therapy Hub, 218 Manifold Street, Camperdown. Participants must attend both sessions.
