Public notice: Hazard reduction burns – Emerald

Please be advised that Emerald Fire and Rescue and the Rural Fire Service will be assisting council with hazard reduction activities in Emerald from Ivers Place to Whitchurch Street between the Nogoa River Reserve and residential line.

These activities and a hazard reduction burn is planned to commence this Wednesday night 25 September 2024 from 5.30 pm, weather dependent.

Nearby residents are advised to stay clear of the indicated zones, close all windows and doors, take precautions while driving, and prepare animals. Every attempt will be made to keep smoke to a minimum.
