Public notice: Emerald Botanical Gardens Footpath Upgrades

Please be advised that contractor CQ Concreting will begin work on behalf of Central Highlands Regional Council to complete Emerald Botanical Gardens Footpath Upgrades. These works will occur on the western side of the gardens between the Windmill and the John Gay Bridge. Works will begin on Monday 30 September 2024. The project is expected to be completed by Friday 1 November 2024.

During this period, access to cross under the John Gay Bridge will be restricted. Pedestrian traffic lights will be installed to ensure safe crossing of Rifle Range Road. Motorists should anticipate short delays when the crossing is in use.
