Edward River Library is thrilled to share that it has been awarded the prestigious Diversity and Inclusion Award by Libero, leading Australian library management system provider.
This recognition was presented at the Knosys Libero User Group Conference and Awards on September 13 in Sydney and highlights the library’s ongoing commitment to enhancing access for all community members.
The award celebrates the library’s innovative Call & Collect service and the ongoing Books on Wheels program, both designed to improve access for residents who are unable to visit the library in person.
Through targeted outreach efforts, the library identified the need for these services, especially for rural and housebound individuals.
Edward River Council's Interim CEO, Gary Arnold, expressed his pride in the team’s achievement; “This award underscores the library team’s continuous innovation and dedication to meeting the diverse needs of our community.
“The new Call & Collect service has turned out to be a wonderful complement to the Books on Wheels program for those who can’t make it to the library. We are excited to see the positive impact of these new initiatives and are committed to supporting their ongoing efforts.”
Edward River Library remains dedicated to expanding its services and ensuring that all members of the community can access the resources they need.
