Double demerit points

Labour day long weekend

Drivers are reminded that double demerits will be in place over the Labour Day long week commencing 12am, Friday 4 October 2024 to 11.59pm, Monday 7 October 2024.

Drivers will incur a fine and double demerit points if they are:

caught speeding using a mobile phone while driving not wearing a seatbelt caught driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle disobeying road rules and sign The Demerit Points Scheme helps make our roads safer by encouraging motorists to drive responsibly.

Be safe this long weekend, by being a responsible driver.
