The Role:
Council has received funding under the Queensland Government’s Deadly Digital Communities program to create digital initiatives of local interest which have been co-designed by First Nations users.
This is a casual position for approximately one day per week.
The purpose of the position is to work with local First Nations service groups and individuals to deliver the grant funded Deadly Digital Communities program at the relevant library branches and may deliver outreach digital programs in consultation with the Coordinator Libraries.
What we are looking for:
You will have established connections with local Traditional Owners, Indigenous Leaders and Elders and their service organisations that is lasting and exists beyond the project duration You must be able to communicate effectively with community members and advise library staff on the community’s culture, value and protocols to ensure First Nations participants are comfortable to share their ideas and feedback and feel that their contributions are valued You will be experienced in the use of the Midjourney AI image generation platform to create resources that integrate digital and cultural principles with the demonstrated ability to work autonomously on developing and delivering digital literacy training You will have experience in a teaching or training field and knowledge of teaching digital skills through a cultural lens with the ability to support measuring the impact of training in terms of positive social impact and community benefits You will possess a current Working with Children blue cardWhat we can offer you:
