Moree Plains Shire Council is committed to transparency in all external communications to keep our community up to date on Council and community business through timely, meaningful and varied communication.
A Performance Dashboard is now located on Council’s website to promote transparency and accessibility for residents to keep informed on Council’s capital works projects and Council’s quarterly integrated reporting.
The online dashboard complements the hard copy documentation of Council’s reporting back to the community through data visualisation, the implementation of graphs, mapping and real live quarterly tracking allowing the end user to explore in depth Council’s projects set out in the Operational Plan and Budget.
General Manager Kelvin Tytherleigh explains “The interactive Performance Dashboard will enhance the overall effectiveness of our governance by providing transparent access to information through this user-friendly alternative for communication between Council and residents”.
The Performance Dashboard offers end users an engaging way to access fundamental information about key capital and non-capital projects including completion dates, metrics and indicators showing the status of projects and activities that are set out in Council’s Community Strategic Plan.
The four themes on which projects are reported on are
Desirable Cohesive Community Vibrant Regional Economy Environmentally Sustainable Shire Transformational LeadershipThese overarching themes align directly with the goals and strategies defined within Council’s Delivery Program and the activities and projects to be delivered in Council's Operational Plans.
The Dashboard has been designed to be mobile-friendly, allowing users to access it from smartphones and tablets. As a 100% digital resource, it is a win for sustainability goals!
