Central Highlands Regional Council’s water notices will be issued today, Monday 28 October 2024.
This notice covers charges for water consumption from 1 December 2023 to 31 May 2024 and water infrastructure charges from 1 July to 31 December 2024. Payment is due by 5.00 pm, Thursday 28 November 2024.
Water infrastructure charges attract a 5% discount if paid by the relevant due date. No discount applies to consumption charges.
You will notice that your water notice now refers to a ‘water infrastructure charge’ instead of the previously used term ‘water access’. This updated description more accurately reflects that the charge is used to fund the upgrade, maintenance and replacement of council’s water network infrastructure.
