The event, aimed at addressing the growing demand for early childhood educators, saw a significant turnout and reaffirmed Council’s commitment to supporting the future of early childhood education in the region.
The recruitment day aimed to simplify the application process while providing a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere for attendees to engage in informal conversations with Council staff. This approach made pursuing a career in early childhood education more accessible for interested individuals.
There were 58 registrations with 44 attendees, including aspiring educators, recent graduates, and career changers eager to enter the early childhood sector.
Greater Shepparton City Council Manager Early Years Operations and Reform, Stacey East, expressed her excitement at the event’s success.
"We are pleased with the response to our recruitment day and are excited to welcome passionate individuals to our team. The strong interest shows the community's commitment to supporting our youngest residents and their families," she said.
Attendees praised the event for its relaxed and supportive atmosphere and appreciated the valuable insights shared by Council staff to assist them in developing their career.
Council now looks forward to welcoming new educators to its Early Years team, who will play a vital role in supporting children in our community to reach their full potential.
