Council apologise for the short notice, as we have only just been notified of the change in ceremony location from the Services Club to the Memorial Hall. This new location requires the closure of Balo Street to ensure the safety and smooth proceedings of the event. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience and are grateful for your patience and cooperation.
Staff will work to minimise disruptions and will reopen the road as promptly as possible after the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we come together to commemorate this important day.
Stage One - Installation of New Transformer at 28 Balo StreetWe wish to advise of a change to traffic conditions as of Monday 18 November 2024. Council will commence the underground works associated with the installation of the new transformer. During this time the Wesley Lane, will be closed from Heber Street to the Moree Memorial Hall. Access to Wesley Lane will be available through the carpark beside Suzzane’s VIP Salon. As works continue we will move to stage two of the underground works on Wesley Lane from Heber Street to Albert Street we will notify of the changes to the traffic conditions. Terry Hie Hie RoadworksMoree Plains Shire Council wishes to notify motorists of changed traffic conditions on the Terry Hie Hie Road between Sadowa Road and Gravesend Road from Tuesday 12 November 2024. The work, to be completed will include geotechnical investigations, surveying and, utility investigations and biodiversity studies. Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Sunday and is expected to be completed in four weeks, weather permitting. Changed traffic conditions including intermittent stop/slow and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h may be in place during work hours. Motorists should allow for extra travel time. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signage. Council thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
