James Street, Mareeba – Roadworks Notice

Mareeba Shire Council wishes to advise that James Street, Mareeba, at Salihe Avenue will be closed to through traffic from McIver Road to Costin Street starting from Wednesday, 20 November for approximately two weeks.

This closure is necessary to carry out essential dig-out works on the damaged section of the road. Weather conditions and contractor schedules permitting, we aim to complete the work to seal this section of the road in early December 2024.

Local traffic access will remain on James Street where possible.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience during this important maintenance project.

Please plan your travel accordingly and follow all traffic signs and detours.
