Each year NSW local governments are required to present audited financial statements to their council and community. The financial statements set out the financial performance, financial position, and cash flows of Council for the financial year ended 30 June 2024.
The format of the financial statements is standard across all NSW Councils and complies with both the accounting and reporting requirements of Australian Accounting Standards and requirements as set down by the Office of Local Government.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with:
the Local Government Act 1993 and the regulations made thereunder, the Australian Accounting Standards and other pronouncements of the Australian Accounting Standards Board, the Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Financial Reporting.In accordance with Section 418 (3) of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), Yass Valley Council advises that the Ordinary Council meeting to be held on 28 November 2024 will include the presentation of the Audited Financial Statements for the year ending 30 June 2024.
Yass Valley Council’s Annual Financial Statements will be on public exhibition for seven days from Tuesday, 19 November 2024 and are available here(PDF, 3MB).
