Wyndham City is proud to announce Tvisha Joshi as the joint One Wyndham recipient for November.

Tvisha is an inspirational role model and is passionate about creating positive change, fostering inclusivity, and encouraging community connection in the Wyndham community.

With a strong commitment to social justice and equity, Tvisha uses her writing skills and voice to drive meaningful change through advocacy and raising awareness of social issues.

Contributing her time volunteering in a range of activities from tutoring refugees and children from marginalised communities to enhance their academic performance and overcome challenges, to raising much needed funds for charities, including Kids Helpline and Relay for Life.

Notably, empowering girls and women to achieve through her Captaincy, leading the women’ team at Werribee Cricket Club and fostering teamwork, resilience, and inclusivity.

Tvisha also collaborates on global STEM initiatives, researching and developing innovative solutions to global challenges.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Mia Shaw said: “Tvisha is dedicated and committed to helping refugee and marginalised children overcome academic challenges and makes a very valuable contribution to our community.”

“Tvisha empowers young people to makes a positive difference and this benefits Wyndham.”

One Wyndham recipients are residents aged between 12 to 25 who positively contribute to the Wyndham community and are role models to other young people.

Each month Council selects a Wyndham resident to be awarded the ‘Young Person of the Month’.

Winners are awarded a $300 gift voucher of their choice and other prizes.
