PROPOSED TEMPORARY WORKFORCE ACCOMMODATION

LOT 100 DARTMOOR-LAKE NERRAMYNE ROAD, DARTMOOR

The Shire of Chapman Valley advises it has received an application for temporary workforce accommodation from Warrego Energy in association with their Exploration Drilling Program within Petroleum Licence EP512 that is managed separately under the Petroleum and Geothermal Energy Resources Act 1967 by the State Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.

The application is seeking to establish temporary workforce accommodation 50km north-east of the Yuna townsite upon Lot 100 Dartmoor-Lake Nerramyne Road, Dartmoor in association with Warrego’s exploratory drilling operations.

The development would consist of a main accommodation camp with 24 transportable accommodation buildings each containing with 2 x 1 bedroom/1 bathroom accommodation. The main camp would also have a further 8 transportable buildings serving to house laundry, kitchen, freezer, dining, office, storeroom, recreation, gym and generator functions.

This main camp would be located approximately 200m north of a drill camp consisting of 8 transportable buildings providing accommodation for 6 persons, as well as laboratory, office and training functions at the actual drill site.

Both camps would be serviced by a mobile aerobic wastewater treatment system that will require separate application to be made to the Shire and operated in accordance with State Department of Health requirements.

The camp footprint would be approximately 1ha within a larger 3.65ha project area that has been previously cleared for farming purposes.

The site preparation would commence in early 2025 and the camps are proposed to be onsite and operational in March-April 2025 and removed after this time once the well test is completed and plugging and decommissioning would occur.
