Mayor Deb Hamblin said the school’s ongoing recycling program that stretched across multiple waste material streams had resulted in an incredible 10,000 kg of waste being diverted from landfill.

“The students’ sustainability efforts to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill is fantastic and will help our community work towards a more sustainable future,” she said.
