Road update: Kingfish Beach Road, Southport

Council is working to repair a major landslip on Kingfish Beach Road near the Southport Catholic Cemetery. For everyone’s safety, the road is currently operating as a single lane with traffic lights controlling vehicle flow.

We have completed site investigations and are working with geotechnical experts to create a ground model and recommend design and construction solutions.

Costed design options will be presented in the coming months, with construction work expected to begin in approximately 12 months.
