Central Highlands Regional Council adopted its 2023-2024 annual report last month, presenting the community with a summary of the performance and activities of the organisation throughout the financial year.
‘Within this annual report, you will find many highlights, achievements and interesting statistics from the year that was, painting a picture of what we do and why we do it,’ Acting Chief Executive Officer Ross Musgrove said.
‘Thank you to our staff, partners, and community members for their contributions. We look forward to continuing to work hard, deliver and provide for our region as we move into a new year.’
Some of the key highlights from the year include:
Securing $30 million under the state government’s Resources Community Infrastructure Fund Upgrading vital transport links such as Wyntoon Road and Mulchays Road Replacing 8 kilometres of the Capella to Tieri pipeline A major refurbishment of the Park Avenue Wastewater Treatment Plant Building a new multi-purpose facility at Roy Day Park in Sapphire Completing $500,000 in upgrades at community halls in Duaringa, Rolleston and Dingo Launching a new internal knowledge management system to assist customer service Celebrating 30 years of council’s sister city relationship with Ichinoseki, Japan Supporting over 60 local events through our Event Assistance ProgramAs well as highlighting operational successes and challenges, the report also serves as a valuable resource to prospective employees, investors and anyone interested in the positive growth of the region.
