Primary schoolers and teenagers looking for something to do during the school holidays have plenty of options at Camperdown stadium.

Corangamite Shire Council Recreation Officer Ricky Birmingham invited Shire youth to come along to some active and social holiday sessions.

“We essentially have open hoops and free-play sessions for kids to come along and try basketball, netball, soccer, pickleball, badminton, table tennis, indoor hockey, lawn games and tennis,” Mr Birmingham said.

“Everything will be set up and kids can just move from station to station enjoying themselves.

“Come along with your friends and enjoy something you love already, or try something new. There’s no need to book. Just turn up on the day.”

The sessions $10.30 per person.

Mr Birmingham said Council was committed to working towards ensuring the health and wellbeing of the community by supporting a range of opportunities for people to lead active lifestyles.

“Taking part in sport, even at a social level, has health benefits and joining in when you’re young can establish good habits for life.”
