Check Out Council’s 2025 Summer School Holiday Program

Slip, slop, slap and swing into the excellent program of activities at Council’s facilities over these summer school holidays.

Events include intensive swim sessions for all levels of skill at all three of our municipality’s pools, a daily Kids Drawing Station at TAMA, and the revoltingly hilarious Mr Snotbottom at Ararat Town Hall.

Movie Monday @ Ararat Library

Monday 6 Jan, Monday 13 Jan, Monday 20 Jan, from 2pm – 4pm

Join us on the comfy cushions for a special kid's movie screening each Monday during the school holidays at the Library! Movies catering to primary/early secondary school level.

Intensive Summer Swim Program @ Lake Bolac Pool

Daily from Monday 6 Jan - Friday 10 Jan, 2025

Run by the Ararat Fitness Centre, the program will consist of morning sessions at the Lake Bolac Pool. Beginners, intermediate and advanced swimmers all welcome. Cost of the program is $55 per person.

Daily from Monday 13 Jan - Friday 17 Jan, 2025

Run by the Ararat Fitness Centre, the program will consist of afternoon sessions at the Ararat Indoor Pool. Beginners, intermediate and advanced swimmers all welcome. Cost of the program is $55 per person.

Kids Drawing Station @ TAMA

Every day during the school holidays (excluding public holidays), 10am – 4pm

The Ararat Gallery TAMA have a self-guided drawing station set up in the foyer with loads of drawing and various materials ready for kids to get creative! Suitable for all ages. 

Art & Craft Workshop @ Ararat Library

Wednesday Jan 8, 2:30pm - 3:30pm

Join us for a school holiday Arts and Crafts workshop!

In the session, we will complete a small project to encourage and inspire further creativity at home using accessible materials.

→ Suitable for ages 5 -18

→ Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult

→ All materials provided
