2025 Australia Day Award Nominees announced Published: 20 January 2025

Council is pleased to announce the nominees for the 2025 Australia Day Awards.

These awards celebrate the outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals and groups within our community.

The winners will be announced and celebrated at a special ceremony on Thursday 23 January 2025 at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in Pakenham. 

Council will also be welcoming 100 new Australian citizens to Cardinia Shire at a citizenship ceremony at the Cardinia Cultural Centre on Sunday 26 January 2025. 

A number of community-run events are held across Cardinia Shire for the community to enjoy. Community members can find events near them online at www.australiaday.org.au/vic/events  

Council is proud to support community events, such as eligible Australia Day events, with grant funding through its Festivals and Events Grants program each year.
