Yass Valley Council is offering local hospitality businesses a free Retail and Food Service Information Session on Tuesday, 11 February 2025. This session, held with support of the NSW Food Authority, is designed to help food businesses ensure the safety and quality of the food they serve, keeping customers protected from foodborne illnesses and enhancing their food handling practices.
As new food trends continue to emerge and consumers dine out more frequently, it’s more important than ever to stay informed about food safety regulations. The session will cover a wide range of essential topics including proper food handling, allergen management, cleaning and sanitising protocols, pest control, temperature control, handwashing, and the Scores on Doors initiative.
The event, which is open to all hospitality workers and food business owners in the region, will provide practical knowledge that can be implemented to improve food safety standards. Attendees will also have the chance to raise questions and discuss food safety challenges with industry professionals.
