Wednesday 22, January a group of Kambalda children recently enjoyed an exciting day out on a field trip to Kalgoorlie, thanks to the Shire of Coolgardie. The adventure began with a visit to the Museum of the Goldfields, where the students explored the rich history of the region's gold mining heritage. The museum’s exhibits provided the children with a fascinating glimpse into Kalgoorlie’s past, sparking curiosity and learning about the area’s historical significance.

Afterwards, the group headed to Centennial Park, where the children participated in atreasure hunt. The activity encouraged teamwork and problem-solving skills, and each child was rewarded with a delicious ice cream to cool off after the hunt, adding a sweet end to the morning’s adventure.

The day continued with a trip to Hammond Park, where the children enjoyed a relaxing picnic lunch. Surrounded by nature, they were delighted to encounter local wildlife, including kangaroos, emus, and a variety of birds, giving them an up-close experience with the native animals of the area.

The excursion was a memorable and educational day for the Kambalda children, filled with discovery, outdoor fun, and plenty of exciting moments.
