Residents and visitors will be able to continue to enjoy the Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools this February, with altered opening hours in place from Saturday, 1 February.
As part of Gannawarra Shire Council’s efforts to maximise service availability and staffing, new opening hour arrangements have been in place for the 2024/25 season.
“It has been fantastic to see residents and visitors take advantage of our warm summer by relaxing at the Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools,” Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“Our pools are a great place to exercise, celebrate family occasions or keep cool.”
As part of the new arrangements, the Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools will be open 3pm-8pm weekdays and 10am-8pm weekends throughout February before reverting to the traditional March hours of 3pm-7pm daily from 1-9 March.
The 2024/25 season will end on Labour Day, 10 March with both pools open from 12 noon-7pm.
“Residents are advised that the Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools will be closed on days the Bureau of Meteorology website’s forecast temperature for either Cohuna or Kerang is 23 degrees Celsius or lower,” Mr Rollinson said.
“Any changes to opening times, including during instances of inclement weather, will be publicised via Council’s Facebook page.”
