Roadworks Notice: Constance Street Mareeba
Mareeba Shire Council will soon begin construction of a new footpath at the Lloyd Street end of Constance Street.
This project is part of the Mareeba Walking Network Plan and aims to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists.
What’s happening:
A new shared pedestrian and cycle pathway will connect Mareeba State Primary School to Lloyd Street. New on-street parking will be created on Constance Street, opposite the school.Traffic Changes: During construction, Constance Street will be reduced to one lane between Middlemiss Street and Lloyd Street.
Works will commence on Monday, 4 February 2025 and the works affecting traffic will run for approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
