Council to open temporary self-serve sand bagging sites

With the closure of the Portsmith Transfer Station, Council will today open three temporary sites for self-service sand bagging.

The sites are:

Monk Street Park carpark, Manunda,Swallow Road, Edmonton,Gordonvale Depot carpark (Highleigh Rd, opposite Maher Rd).

The sites are expected to be open at 10am today.

These are self-serving sites and residents are advised to bring their own shovels.

Self-serving sand bagging is also available at Gordonvale and Smithfield transfer stations.

Additionally, SES are also stocked with bags and sand.
