Community Grants Round one now open!

Submissions are now open for round one of the 2025 Central Highlands Regional Council Community Grants Program, with more than $165,000 ready to be put to good use by community groups region wide.

The program has 3 categories:

Community Assistance – up to $5,000 Sport and Recreation – up to $5,000 Community Improvement – up to $20,000

Last round, council supported 15 projects including installing grandstand seating, purchasing fridges, upgrading air conditioning, and installing solar.

‘Community grants are an important part of council’s commitment to supporting resilient, vibrant and inclusive communities,’ said Mayor Janice Moriarty.

‘The program is more than just financial support – it’s about investing in the aspirations of our communities and empowering our local clubs and organisations to create positive change for the Central Highlands.’

Applications close on Sunday 16 March 2025 with announcement of successful applicants expected in late April.
