Exhibition details

Throughout February, Granville Centre Art Gallery is hosting a pop-up zine shop and maker space, The Zine Space

A zine (short for maga zine or fan zine ) is a small, self-published booklet or magazine, often created to share personal expression, art, ideas, or niche interests outside mainstream media. Made with a DIY approach, zines are often created using simple materials like paper, scissors, glue, pencils and textas.

Visit Granville Centre’s very own pop up zine space to become a zine maker, or even buy a unique zine from the zine shop.

The Zine Space is conceived and led by Granville Centre Art Gallery’s Artist in Residence Garry Trinh, an artist, photographer, self-publisher and lover of zines.

“Opening a zine space has been my dream for years. It's a democratic, safe, and creative hang out where we can share our ideas, stories, and feelings with our community. Leave your phone at the door and join us, in real life, for an afternoon of meaningful connection, inspiration and art making.” – Garry Trinh.

Garry and the Granville Centre Art Gallery team will support you to make your own creative zine. No experience necessary. Suitable for all ages; young children will need parent or carer support in the making process.

The Zine Space features a pop up zine shop curated by Garry, with an incredible array of unique zines available for sale, take home your very own unique limited edition with prices starting from just a few dollars per zine.
