Applications are open for Toowoomba Regional Council’s (TRC) latest round of community support grants.
TRC Community Development, Facilities and Tourism portfolio spokesperson Cr James O’Shea said community or not-for-profit organisations were welcome to apply for funding to help assist with projects or events. Applications must be lodged online by March 1, 2025.
“The current funding program covers applications for the Sport and Recreation, Event Support, Community Support, Community Economic Development, Environment and Cultural and Arts Support grants,” Cr O’Shea said.

“Preference is given to applications that fulfil a range of criteria covering community inclusiveness and interaction, a willingness to encourage community partnerships, upgrading facilities or services or establishing a new service, facility or initiative,” Cr O’Shea said.
“Residents are encouraged to discuss their application prior to submission and can call 131 872 to book a consultation with relevant staff to receive advice on aligning their project with the preferred application form.”
Different funding caps apply across various grant categories.
The competitive review process means that not all projects can be fully funded.
The outcomes of the current grant round are expected to be known in April 2025.
