Summary Road resealing works will take place on Friday 7 February 2025, from 9.30am to 2.30pm (weather permitting). Traffic delays expected – motorists should consider alternative routes; restricted speeds in place. Access to properties and businesses maintained, but road users must follow signage and traffic controllers. Line marking to be reinstated the following week with minimal impact on traffic and residents.

The resealing works involve spraying hot bitumen and spreading new aggregate on this section of the Balaclava Road service lane, resulting in a renewed wearing surface for vehicle traffic.

Works will be undertaken on Friday 7 February 2025, between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm to accommodate school traffic, weather permitting.

Traffic delays are to be expected and an alternate travel route is suggested. Vehicle traffic is anticipated to flow both ways at restricted speeds during this time.

Road users and pedestrians are asked to obey all on site signage and direction provided by traffic controllers. Access to businesses and properties will be maintained during the works, and the community is asked to take care and be aware of the traffic changes in place. Line marking will be re-instated over the following week with limited impacts to vehicle traffic and nearby residents.
