Gannawarra Library Service members can be in the running to win some great prizes this February as part of Library Lovers’ Month celebrations.
The month-long initiative, which began earlier this week, aims to raise awareness regarding library services nationally.
“We are fortunate in the Gannawarra Shire to have four well-supported library branches at Cohuna, Kerang, Leitchville and Quambatook that enable residents to access our extensive catalogue of books, DVDs, magazine and audiobooks,” Gannawarra Shire Council Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Rollinson said.
“Our libraries are also meeting spaces that enable residents to connect and a place where people can access computer or printing services.”
To be in the running to win one of the prizes on offer, head to your local library branch and write on an entry form what you love about the Gannawarra Library Service, as well as your phone number, and place it in the entry box.
“Whether it is our variety of titles, our opening hours, services available or dedicated staff, all feedback will help the Gannawarra Library Service promote its service to others,” Mr Rollinson said.
Gannawarra Library Service’s Library Lovers’ Month celebrations coincide with Library Lovers’ Day, occurring on Friday, 14 February. Held annually since 2007, this Australian Library and Information Association initiative recognises libraries, library staff and those who love their local library.
