Cardinia Shire Council is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new Worrell Reserve Skate Park and Youth Plaza at Worrell Reserve, Emerald.
This vibrant addition to our community invites local youth to embrace their passion for skateboarding, scootering, and BMX biking in a safe and engaging environment. The Worrell Reserve Skate Park was designed with valuable input from the community, ensuring that it meets the needs of all users, from beginners to seasoned pros.
The park boasts a range of top-quality features, including expertly designed ramps, grind rails, and various obstacles to challenge and inspire skaters and bikers of every skill level. In addition to the action-packed features, the Youth Plaza offers plenty of space for lounging and socialising and a basketball court, making it a central hub for young people in the area.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Jack Kowarzik expressed his excitement about the new facility and the positive impact it will have on the community.
"The Worrell Reserve Skate Park and Youth Plaza is a fantastic asset for our young residents. It's more than just a skate park; it's a community space where friendships can form and skills can flourish," Mayor Kowarzik said. "The commitment shown by the community during the design process has been invaluable, and we hope this park becomes a beloved destination for years to come."
Council encourages all skaters and bikers to wear appropriate safety gear and follow the posted rules and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
