Public notice: Borilla Street ‘No Standing Zone’ Removal

Please be advised the hatched ‘No Standing Zone’ area outside Sensory on Borilla Street in Emerald has been removed. This area was previously marked to provide easier access to Dunning Lane. 

As part of recent improvements, council upgraded the garden beds due to significant tree root growth damaging the public roadway. During this upgrade, a swept path analysis revealed that only vehicles the size of a car towing a trailer could safely make the turn. 

To prevent potential property damage to road users, the ‘No Standing Zone’ has now been removed, and parking spaces have been reinstated for local businesses. Moving forward, Dunning Lane will need to be accessed from the direction of the Council Chambers towards the Train Station. 

This change is intended to benefit businesses and users in the area, improving accessibility and safety.
