Customer Service Officer

Do you have a customer service focus and want to assist your community? Council is seeking a customer service professional to provide friendly, knowledgeable and efficient frontline point of contact services for its’ customers.

The Role:

Our Customer Service Officers are responsible for undertaking a range of administrative and customer service duties to meet the expectations of Council and the needs of customers and community. Customer Service Officers assist customers with a range of queries either face to face, in a busy call centre or online via email.

What we are looking for:

You will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to touch type with both speed and accuracy and enter data with precision You will need to have finely honed interpersonal skills to be able to meet the demands of challenging customers and resolve problems that may arise You will need to have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse mix of customers You will have strong administrative skills, be able to prioritise your workload and work well under pressure You will have excellent computer skills with a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs You can follow procedures, guidelines and directions to ensure efficient and accurate services
