Future Wyndham: have your say on the refreshed Wyndham 2050 Community Vision

It’s time to have your say on the refreshed Wyndham 2050 Community Vision and do your bit to shape Wyndham’s future.  

The Vision captures what you want our City to look like in 26 years’ time and guides how we allocate funds, prioritise projects, care for our assets, and plan for the future.

Over the past nine months, we’ve been listening to you through surveys, workshops, pop-up events and more as part of the Future Wyndham project.

Using your ideas, the Future Wyndham Community Panel – made up of 150 diverse residents from across Wyndham – has refreshed the Vision.   

The refreshed Vision reads as follows:

“We are the united and diverse community of Wyndham, embracing a sense of belonging and inclusivity. 

We strive to be a thriving community that is safe, accessible and connected. 

We champion health, education, enterprise, and innovation. 

We place communication and well-being at the heart of our lives across city, country, and coast.

We take pride in our culture and heritage. We are committed to nurture our land and environment for the future generations.”

Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Mia Shaw, encouraged all residents to read the refreshed Vision and provide their feedback.

“The Wyndham 2050 Community Vision reflects our community’s hopes and dreams for the future,” Cr Shaw said.

“Now it’s your turn to provide feedback – your input ensures we build a healthy, prosperous, vibrant Wyndham for generations to come.”

“I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to provide their feedback so far, and a special shout-out to the Future Wyndham Community Panel members for using their lived experience and local knowledge to help refresh the Vision.” 

“There’s still lots of opportunities for you to get involved, including your chance to watch the Future Wyndham Community Panel in action – stay updated and have your say via Wyndham City’s online engagement platform, The Loop.”   

“Over the coming weeks, the Future Wyndham Community Panel will also provide recommendations on other plans shaping Wyndham's future, and you will be given the opportunity to have your say on these plans too.”

The refreshed Wyndham 2050 Community Vision will be out for community feedback until 11.59pm on Monday 17 March.
