Got a question for us? Come to a community consultation in 2025!

Central Highlands Regional Council’s mayor, councillors and staff will hit the road again in 2025, travelling across the region to meet with community members and discuss local matters.

Community consultations are an open forum for residents to receive updates on projects, ask questions and raise concerns with elected members.

‘The consultations are always a source of valuable insight for both councillors and community members,’ Mayor Janice Moriarty said.

‘It is an opportunity for us to connect with our residents, listen, learn about each area’s priorities and provide information where we can, with the help of senior council staff.’

Mayor Moriarty encouraged people to submit specific questions or discussion topics via council’s online engagement platform Have Your Say, Central Highlands. Submissions open one month before a consultation, and close 2 weeks prior.

‘This allows us to attend the consultation with key information at hand, but also means if you can’t attend your question will still be addressed,’ she said.

The consultation schedule kicks off in Capella on 26 February 2025, following the general council meeting. See the full list of dates below!
